• Loading the windlass mechanism naturally brings the foot/ankle to a near 90 degree angle thus eliminating the “lever effect” and the resulting pressure on the apex of the ankle present in other dorsal models.

The Body Armor Night Splint by DARCO is a dorsal night splint that holds the foot at a 90° to the lower leg. This helps to combat pes equinus and a shortening of the Achilles tendon. The Body Armor Night Splint also features a hallux loop to stretch the plantar fascia. The dorsal night splint can be used for a wide range of indications, such as heel spurs, metatarsalgia or Achilles tendon inflammation.
